In the February 2015 issue of Chinese Journal of Cancer Research the letter “Physical scientists research biomedicine: a call for caution” that appeared on Pages 94-95 by Wáng YX (1) was published with an error. Leonardo da Vinci was born on 15 April 1452 in the territory of Republic of Florence (modern Italy), and died at Clos Lucé, France, on May 2, 1519. His genius epitomized the Renaissance humanist ideal (2).
